We conducted an experiment-based workshop mainly focused on DNA amplification methods, such as LAMP and PCR (now widely recognized as one of the methods to detect COVID-19 in Japan). We will discuss the impact of this workshop on the participants, and to consider the role of a science museum in preparing for the next pandemic.
