The Collective for Youth Empowerment in STEM & Society (CYESS), an initiative of the Afterschool Alliance, is working to expand opportunities for young people to use STEM skills for social good. Our Community of Practice brings together experts in STEM, civic engagement and afterschool with educators, researchers, youth, funders, organizers, and leaders of youth programs to make connections, build capacity, and distill research to advocate for a more expansive narrative for the value of STEM learning.
