BODY WORLDS takes visitors on an unforgettable journey into the human body. The unique exhibition provides fascinating insights into the body’s complex structure and explains how functional systems and organs interact. It is the first exhibition of its kind focused on anatomy, physiology and health by viewing real human bodies preserved through plastination, the preservation process invented by Dr. Gunther von Hagens. The exhibitions are uniquely curated by Dr. Angelina Whalley and focus on themes of health and wellness such as “The Cycle of Life,” “Rx” (prescriptions for healthy living), “Story of the Heart”, “Pulse” (on living in the 21st century), and the latest iteration, “The Anatomy of Happiness.” BODY WORLDS also offers Animal Inside Out, which is focused on the animal kingdom. More than 55 million visitors, in 41 countries, across 165 cities in the Americas, Europe, South Africa, Asia, and Australasia have seen the exhibitions. The exhibitions normally span 5,000 - 12,000 sq. ft.
